What I can still remember when I took this photograph was that it was a nice summer weekend afternoon drawing to a close. This was one of those few moments that I used the 70-200mm zoom for something other than live events.

The afternoon glow was very interesting as the light came not the usual blue paired with red, but yellow with a tinge of green. The clouds show cold air suspended by warm air beneath it. To top it off, a 747 is gaining altitude as it makes its way outside of the the busy Metro Manila airspace.

The afternoon sky comes alive in Corong Corong, El Nido as the last few minutes of daytime puts on its show in various colors. The place is quiet, and the low sea tide made for a clean canvas where the parked tour boats can be seen like they are floating.

I placed my tripod and put on my camera, dialed in the exposure settings, and triggered the remote control for the shutter.

I live for moments like this.
